On 7 th february year 6 pupils from the walney cluster primary schools and year 7 pupils came together at Walney school for a multi skill academy training day. The day involved challenging sessions to stretch their co -ordination, speed , agility, quickness, core skills, balance and problem solving.

The day was a great success. It would not have been possible without the help and support from my volunteers, young leaders and coaches Tony Callister and Anne Shuttleworth.

Details: Year 2 Fun Run. They pupils will run a butterfly course for ten minutes. The pupils from walney school who are doing leadership training will help run the event

Time: 9.30 am- 4pm
Venue: Manchester Velodrome
Details: Year 11 and year 10 GSCE/BTEC pupils are going to visit the velodrome, see olympic athletes and expereince a track session themselves.
